Pre-Orders

What is a Pre-Order?

A single pre-order is one pre-order created individually for one supplier.

SURE also allows you to create multiple pre-orders and ranges.

The multiple pre-orders template will enable you to create separate pre-orders in bulk. This is useful where products are made from different materials but come from the same supplier.

The ranges template will enable you to create a range of pre-orders which move around the system together. This is useful where a group of products are made of the same materials. Please view the Ranges video to find out more.

How to Create a Single Pre-Order

  1. Select ‘Pre-Orders’ from the left side menu.

    Then select ‘Add Pre-Order Details’.

  2. You need to complete the pre-order form.

The fields marked with a red asterisk are mandatory and must be completed.

Once all fields are completed, click ‘Save’.

You will be given three options. Choose the one which is applicable, add any comments and then click ‘Save’.

How to Create Multiple Pre-Orders

  1. Templates can be found at the bottom of your SURE dashboard, in the Pre-Order XML Template box.

Open the Pre-Orders XML template. This will open in Microsoft Excel.

  2. You need to complete the form and provide all the pre-order information.

The fields marked with a red asterisk are mandatory and must be completed.

  3. Once you have completed the form, you then need to export it as an XML file and save it locally on your computer.

    Click ‘Export’.

  4. Return to SURE.

On the left side menu, click ‘Pre-Orders’.

Now you need to upload the XML file you just saved. To do this, click ‘Browse’ and locate the file.

  5. Next, you need to select the supplier that you want to send these pre-orders to. You can do this by using the drop down menu, then click ‘Upload’.

  6. Now, click ‘Save’. You will be given three options. Choose the one which is applicable, add any comments and then click ‘Save’.

  7. When your pre-orders have been successfully uploaded to SURE, you will see a message appear at the top of the screen, and they will appear in your list of pre-orders.

Both of these options create individual pre-orders for these products which can move around the SURE system independently.

Once the status has changed to ‘Awaiting Response Supplier’, the pre-order will appear on the supplier’s SURE dashboard. They will now add the relevant wood source information for the products.
